What's On
Short dispatches from the community. What's happening, where to be, why it's worth it.
Community Action
Forty bags last time. The competitive element helps. Tea at the hub after. Be there.
Social
Five rounds, one trophy (an old Quality Street tin), unlimited bragging rights. Teams of four.
Outdoors
Early start. The Reed Warblers are back on the loch. Worth every minute of the 5:30am alarm.
Practical
Bringing the raised beds to life. Bring gloves and something to share for the communal lunch.
Family
First official 5k loop around the development. All paces, all ages. Croissants at the end.
Meeting
The boring but important one. Hear the annual report, vote on priorities, eat the nice biscuits.
Resident Dispatches
Real words from real people. We asked them what they'd put on a postcard about Bertha Park.
We moved up from Edinburgh in March. I was nervous about starting over. Within a fortnight, I knew our neighbours' names, their dogs' names, and their opinions on the best shortcut to the school. This place looked after us.
The loch in winter. That's all I'll say. Well — and the fact that you can be in central Perth in ten minutes. And the school is genuinely excellent. Fine, there's quite a lot to say about it.
I run the community WhatsApp for our street. Someone lost a cat. Someone else found it. Someone offered a spare ladder. Someone baked too much shortbread (there is no such thing, but still). In three days. That's Bertha Park.
Got something to share? A story, a suggestion, a Saturday plan? We want to hear it. (The shortbread tip was genuinely useful.)
